車両重心点が上がることへの対策として、一部機器類を車端部に配することや、専用の電源車を用いることが考えられる。

但し、都市内交通を主とする HSST-100 では、専用電源車により編成長が伸びることは駅構造の長大化、即ち事業費増に繋がるため避けるべきである。
