In the UK, the Labour backbench never consider themselves part of the government (that's the cabinet really), so they feel freer to speak out. In Australian, Labor expects full caucus to hold the line. Glad #Husic has opted to speak up. Not sure how it might play out.

It's particularly tough on #Husic, who has shown parliament the grace & dignity with which the unspeakable events in the #MiddleEast should be dealt, without provoking community divisions but speaking firmly to injustices when most caucus colleagues seemed incapable.

Well that’s disappointing 😢
I had high hopes for #Dreyfus I thought he was a “mover and shaker” but I think he fizzled out
#Husic was always impressive when I saw him on TV interviews
#Marles isn’t of the calibre to be 2IC and should be replaced
