Dragonfly with striped colouring on its wings perched on a branch. Dragonflies, due to their metamorphosis, are strong symbols of transformation, rebirth, and self-realization. Dragonflies are often associated with joy, happiness, and living in the moment. Their emergence into the adult stage signifies new beginnings and shedding old ways. In some cultures, dragonflies are seen as messengers from the spiritual realm, carrying messages from ancestors or spirits.

For years I’ve hid in silence,
Never joining in the crowd,
Each post I’d often remove in moments,
Afraid it was too loud.
But Bluesky friends would listen,
I feel I have a voice,
A place to share my musings,
Amongst others that rejoice!

only speak when spoken to

and was told
to shut up

and was gaslit
into thinking I never spoke

I used it again
and was praised
for my bravery

until they finally listened
