On the penultimate day of #IJW2025 we heard from Muthoki Mumo, the Africa Program Coordinator for the Committee to Protect Journalists. The presentation covered transnational attacks on journalists in Africa and looked into case studies of journalists being arrested, kidnapped and facing violence

On Tuesday 5th of November we had a risk assessment workshop from two experts in the field from the BBC War reporting team. This workshop included creating risk assessments based on real life war-zones, and demonstrations of the equipment used by real life war reporters. #ijw2025 #war #news
