Re: #IndexingDay: I make the same specific, small sound of disappointment whenever I buy or borrow a fascinating book with no index. Indexers are a vital part of producing, preserving, and enriching research and learning, and all publishers should hire one of these pros to add their excellent coda.

Tomorrow (Nov. 18) is National Indexing Day! I get a lot of confused looks when I say I'm an indexer. Ever used an index at the back of a book? That's what I do: I create indexes. It requires analytical skills and attention to detail while still seeing the big picture. And I love it. #IndexingDay
