Metis! Azem, dear friend and mentee of Venat. She was close with Hythlodaeus and Hades as well, but her frequent travels and gregarious nature left her with a blind spot for the feelings Hades had for her, so nothing ever came of it.

Iolaine is not good at asking for help or sharing negative emotions. She'll pretend she's fine til she's coughing up blood and was frustrated and embarrassed to be fussed over at the end of EW when she was injured, though that was also the start of her learning to open up.

She felt as though she'd betrayed Halone by putting faith in the Church, something she corrected but which caused chaos nonetheless. In the end, Halone knew, and Iolaine never had to speak of it aloud to understand that she was forgiven and loved, and Halone was proud of her.

Travelling to the Mark of the Fury, speaking with her, discussing faith was awe-inspiring for Iolaine. She had no idea what to say but never wanted it to end, though she spent most of the time on the verge of tears trying not to fall at Halone's feet and beg forgiveness. (4/)
