Trev is holding Sariel's hand, who is rather limply letting it happen. Sariel looks much more relaxed than during his youth. The tips of Sariel's ears and his throat have started turning colour, an effect from his lifelong usage of black magic that had previously only spread to his hands and legs. Presumably, the discolouration has spread throughout his entire body save his face at this point. Trevellain is smiling at Sariel, his face turned to look at his companion.
