I feel so lucky that I got the chance to chair this wonderful and timely keynote by @drpaulinehenry.bsky.social at #IPCITI2025. More relevant than I could have ever hoped for my own thesis exploring traumatic memories in my feminist translation of Memoria de la melancolía.
I (@woolzz.bsky.social) was honoured to chair "Translating Rape", the fantastic keynote speech at #IPCITI2025. Dr Pauline Henry-Tierney (@drpaulinehenry.bsky.social) proposed a feminist methodology of translation that responds ethically to the complexities of translating traumatic texts. (1/4)
