christoph: thx a lot, ákos, for reporting so much from #ISME19. have save trip back 👋
I was glad to present our recent preprint and the ecology of surfactin at #ISME19 in Cape Town, South Africa
Had a blast presenting @avcarrology’s work on the commensal niche of C. difficult in the human gut at #ISME19
Thanks to @DrSueIshaq for the photo 🙏
Being somewhere for work, the work part is important. But always take time to appreciate where you are and make time to take it in

If you are at #ISME19, you need to go talk to Anna! Her work is so much fun and insightful. If you are into soil and plant microbes, you must definitely talk to her then. From amplicons to metagenomes to isolates and cultures to metabolites!!!!
If you are attending #ISME19 and you would like to know more about how secondary metabolites influence establishment in SynComs, come to my talk at 12:15 in Auditorium 2
(back end of the venue - first floor entrance leads you to back of lecture hall)
Auditorium 2 on Novel Technical for Studying Microbial Ecology in few minutes at #ISME19 chaired by Trent Northen and Phil Pope
Presenting my work at #ISME19 today (08/22)! Come talk to me about the new approach in building plant-oriented SynComs! @sonnytmlee.bsky.social
Dr. Iva Veseli stands behind a podium and to the right of a projector screen that is showing a figure about C-CoMP and the Digital Microbes concept at the ISME19 conference.
This photo shows a room full of people who were attending the conference session at #ISME19 to hear about Digital Microbes and other topics within the session.
📣💻🦠News is spreading about C-CoMP and the Digital Microbe concept! This week, Dr. Iva Veseli presented about Digital Microbes to a full room at #ISME19! Photos by

The "microbes and social equity" session at #ISME19 went so well!! I was honored to open the session with my story of #MicrobesAndSocialEquity working group, and to co-chair the amazing talks on how researchers and educators are combining microbiology with social science and community development.
Victoria Orphan starts off her plenary talk on microbial cartography and spatial structures at #isme19 with Winogradsky’s 1924 sketch of a soil landscape (100 microns wide):
Blurry image of an scientific poster that shows 15 figures.
Hey #ISME19, come to visit me at my poster PS2.24.023 tomorrow at 10 am! I will tell you about #AntimicrobialResistance and bio-based fertilizers/recycled fertilizers! The picture shows a teaser 🤗
Hey, #ISME19! On Thursday, @KimMHandley and I are chairing the MS20 ‘Context is Key’ session.
Join us for some exciting talks on microbial niche plasticity! 🦠🦠🦠
It is a privilege to be at the first ISME conference held on the African continent in Cape Town! Please come and have a chat if you are interested in bacteria-insect interactions and missed my presentation. #isme19
During the next poster session visit the poster of Caja Dinesen PS2.12.006
(hint: just turn right after entering the poster hall and find the poster after the first coffee stand)
