SOU SETA enters Living Memory carrying a Nymeia lily. All dialogue is their thoughts. "I guess this is what you wanted. To exist as a ghost here, indefinitely. Freed of the burden of a soul. The burden of new choices; of consequences. Of the fear that you could ever get it wrong."

"I am sorry that I could not allow that to be." Sou places the lily, then begins to dedicate their respects in the Hingan style. "Dear Calyx. Whe'er that singularly brilliant soul of thine may be."

Sou continues to pray in front of the memory terminal where Calyx's Endless had resided. "I do hope that, this time, thy will may find a place and manner to remain in this world without finding itself rejected from thy personhood for its weight."

A long-gone memory is revealed: Ivy, the Azem of eld, eyes wide with shock and rage as they are murdered by an entity they had mistaken to be an old confidant. The souldeep trauma is impressed upon them: I DON'T WANT-- "I love you." The souldeep trauma echoes through Calyx: --TO DIE-- as he screws up his eyes tight, bracing against fear and pain. Whether this is the moments after his defeat, or a memory from his time in his natal body, is unclear. "and" Finally, the souldeep trauma echoes through Sou, for it belongs to them as well as Ivy and Calyx: --ALONE. Their expression, by contrast, is blank as they look up towards the true Calyx's chosen place of rest. "I forgive you." For clarity: Sou's full dialogue: "I love you. And, I forgive you." The full souldeep trauma, a notion imprinted on all of Ivy's shards, either in part or in full: I DON'T WANT TO DIE ALONE. The implication is that the original Calyx was one incarnation of Ivy's 9th shard, and that Sou's sense of kinship towards his Endless is fully founded in truth.

this is sou seta and meteion. To me. Listen. Ivy (Sou's Ancient, Azem of Eld) has the origin of being a familiar that was made from some of the same Concepts as the Meteia.

Meteion immediately views & addresses Sou as ~"onee chan". But Sou knows nothing about Ivy at that stage :) #setanosou #ivxiv

Professor Ivy. Always wears a hood and a visor (like the ones in Nier). Open secret that they are actually the pokémon PSYKE, mythical traveller collecting data for unknown purposes. Psychic/Normal. Sits up. I just remembered the pokéAU lore that #ivxiv is a Ditto progenitor from outer space. Think as Diancie is to Carbink or Manaphy is to Phione. You meet them as Professor Ivy and only discover they're a Pokémon in the plot denouement

Ivy, as Azem, spins with joy and unfettered levity; face free of a mask, their robe spins up about them as they revel in the wonders of the world and of having free will. Their sepia tone and ignorance of their surroundings suggests this is a mere vision, of a paradise lost - as does Amaurot, burning behind them.
