The Jantar Mantar is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The monument was completed in 1734 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is next to the City Palace (Pink Palace) and Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds). Photograph shows a stone sundial.

Das Qutb Minar ist ein aus rotem und hellen Sandstein bestehender fünfgeschossiger Siegesturm und Minarett, welcher sich zur Spitze hin im Durchmesser verjüngt. Seine Höhe beträgt ca. 72 m.

Der Lotus ist ein moderner, in seiner Architektur schlicht gehaltener Tempelbau, der einer sich schließenden Lotusblüte nachempfunden ist.

Das India Gate ist ein 42 m hoher Triumphbogen zu Ehren der gefallenen Soldaten in den verschiedensten Kriegen.

Das Jantar Mantar ist ein historisches Bauwerk, welches zu astronomischen Zwecken benutzt wurde. Es wurde von Maharaja Jai Singh II. 1723 errichtet.

Heute besuchte ich das #QutbMinar, ein Minarett und Siegesturm, und den Lotus Tempel. Das India Gate lag auf dem Weg zum #JantarMantar, welches etwas kleiner in seiner Ausführung gehalten ist, als das in #Jaipur.
