A sulphur-crested cockatoo, a large white parrot with a yellow crest, hides its face while I take a photo of it. It has climbed up onto the electricity connection block that it was just nibbling at. Another white parrot, a little corella, sits higher up the drop line and sees "nothing, I swear gov, I don't know how it could have happened".

Listen, bird, I don't think Mr Seed and his neighbours will appreciate you disconnecting their electricity on this cold Sunday afternoon in the middle of winter.
