Around 3.8 billion euros are to be cut in Berlin this year and next. For Neukölln, this means savings of around 20 million euros. In concrete terms, the cuts mean shorter opening hours for youth centres and family counselling, fewer staff at independent organisations and the discontinuation of youth trips and social services. We clearly say: No. In fact, with their cuts, the bourgeois parties are implementing a policy that deliberately subordinates our interests to those of the rich and corporations. For this reason, we want to discuss together on 6 March what alternatives there are to the cuts and debt brake and, above all, what we can do specifically in Neukölln to fend off the cuts.
