Great era for me; I have a big trove of qualifying records in #johnsvinyl. Not as many as #5debutalbums8084 (185!), but my initial digging resulted in >60, w/ another >25 in #johnsCDS & #johnscassettes (but I don’t plan to consider those). I need to get busy cleaning & listening! #5debutalbums8589
Even though I won’t be spinning records for #5albums50s60s4, I couldn’t resist assessing my collection. I have 41/100: 25 in #johnsvinyl, 13 in #johnsCDs, 2 in #johnscassettes and one 8-track. They will be ready for inclusion in the top 20 for #5albums50s60sfinal
I’m finally ready for #5albums70s5. My current inventory from #johnsvinyl is 53, from #johnsCDs is 11 and one from #johnscassettes. I have an initial list of 11 more under consideration for possible acquisition.
I use #johnsvinyl to specify my vinyl (definitely not vinyls), #johnsCDs to specify my compact discs, and #johnscassettes to specify my tapes. I consider all to be “records”. I collect “records” but I often talk about my “vinyl” or “vinyl record” collection.

Of those, I only have Deep in #johnsvinyl (also in #johnsCDs & #johnscassettes). Holy Smoke on cassette (listened recently) and Hysteria on CD. Also Cascade on CD. I think they have all been repressed on #vinyl and are on my want list.
Rummaging around in #johnscassettes today (which are very badly “organized”) while looking for a few things in #5albums70s3. And I came across a few tapes that I haven’t played in a long time. Queuing them up soon.
I’m away from home this weekend, but since I have my collection catalogued on @discogsofficial.bsky.social I can see what’s ahead of me for #5albums70s3. Looks like I have 48 in #johnsvinyl, 12 in #johnsCDs and another 2 in #johnscassettes. There are a couple on the list for quick acquisition.
