Had me my first "hiccup" with my #Linux desktop, there was a cycling code error preventing board firmware from installing. Download even fresher copy of #KDEneon and the hiccup is gone...
Forgot I had to cycle in and out of #secure-boot, then accidentally typed the wrong password I had generated.
I seriously cannot believe the massive difference between #Win11 and #KDEneon #Linux with #Plasma desktop in the file handling arena.
Everything "snaps" crisply, there's no second guessing when there'll be a crash (I've not had a Linux machine crash in 5 years but I expect a windows crash daily).
#KDEneon with #secure-boot enabled has just replaced #Win11. After this latest rounds of fuck ups but #Microsoft, I'm over it again for my main pc.. plus it's better at #HDR than windows: 12 bit colour not limited to 8 by an #Intel #ARC GFX card as well. -

... to 32GB for the page file and 10% for snapshots (I know, Linux terminology creeping in)... which is 1 more memory cache problem away from being turned into a Linux box coz I've got another one running #KDENeon and not one stability issue.

TBT, I will *not* recommend #ArchLinux, #CachyOS, or #GentooLinux for #Linux newbies.
I will still recommend either #LinuxMint or #KDENeon
Main reason being that (1) I'm well-versed with Ubuntu so I can provide support, and (2) most apps officially come in .deb and/or .rpm

It is a lifesaver that I can jump back to the comand line as no KDE apps work including Konsole. A missing libpulse shared library causes the problem, but reinstalling pulseaudio didn't fix it.
