Every Sunday from late August to December, kids in leotards would file into the Trost Ballet Academy studio and rehearse the story of Clara – the little girl who falls asleep after a Christmas party and dreams of traveling to the Land of Sweets. Levi knew every scene, every character, and every bar of music. While some people’s new year began on January 1st, for the Reiss-Ackerman family, each new year began on Nutcracker Audition day. “Levi! Get in here, the stereo’s acting up again,” hollered Kenny from the front door. “Tried kicking it?” “Yep, still needs your special touch,” said Kenny as Levi reached the front steps. “I’d let it occupy you awhile, otherwise Uri will just give you more busy work.”
Finally getting around to posting my #eruri #kenuri Nutcracker AU wip on here. Levi, Kenny, and Uri run a small town ballet studio. They hire Erwin, a professional dancer and visiting instructor at a local college, to play the Prince in their annual production of The Nutcracker. #wipwednesday
