I am knitting a hat in the round. I have to knit 5 inches of 2x2 ribbing and it is taking forever. I have close to 4 inches done, as you can see by the measuring tape that I have laying on my knitting. I can’t wait to start the cabled part of the hat! The hat is in a brownish colour of Knit Picks Palette yarn. The colourway is called Puma Heather.

This is the pattern for the cabled hat that I’m knitting. It is called Ridley and is by Meghan Babin of Hudson + West Co. The model in the photo is wearing the hat in an orangey colourway. He has his head tilted down towards the camera so you can better see the cables and sort of make out the top of the hat.

Note to self: knitting 5 inches of 2x2 ribbing in a 2.25mm needle takes foreeeeeeeverrrrr 🙃 Take that into account when thinking you can quickly knit a hat in time for hubby’s birthday that is 5 days away 😬 Sigh. Only an inch or so to go…I can’t wait to get to the cables 🧶
