My own #scifi favourite genre, is set in a contemporary or very near future, with some particular scientific development/innovation, that forms the core of the story... that is I suppose why I like #lablit, I like a story that seems close to possible.

Books I read in January. Of these, I recommend The Silver Bone and The Bloodless Boy. Both are historical crime novels, one set in pre/just-about Soviet Kyiv, the other in restoration London. The Silver Bone has a very slight tinge of magical realism, The Bloodless Boy fits into #LabLit nicely
