Three top drams from #Laphroaig. The 2024 Càirdeas 10yo probably shows the most of the original distillery character, lovely medicinal peat. The 2025 Lore CS is well balanced, jammy and unmistakably Islay. For me though, that SMWS 29.305 is next level. Such a gorgeous dram. 🥃❤️

Used to immensely dislike peated whiskies. On a whim, I opened a Laphroaig 10 years yesterday, just to see if it was the same “hospital, burnt rubber and smoke” taste as before.

My palate must’ve changed. It tasted like salmon smoked with hay and flowers, with a honey glaze. Loved it.
