Those charged were David March, the lead detective in the case, Joseph Walsh, Van Dyke's partner on the night of the shooting & Thomas Gaffney. Their bench trial began 11/27/2018 & on 1/17/2019, white Cook County Judge Domenica Stephenson found them not guilty of the charges.
