A primarily white gull with black in its wing tips and a red patch on the bottom of its bill near the tip, and yellow legs and feet, is flying from right to left with a dull grey sky background.
On my recent #pelagic birding tour in the #BayofFundy we saw a couple Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Their larger cousin Great Black-backed Gull is common here, but Lessers are quite rare.
