Lanolin would admit that her heart ached when she saw how a remorseful Tangle looked. Unfortunately this feeling was smothered by the overwhelming irritation from seeing Whisper completely and utterly deny her betrayal of her trust. As the fight went on she knew Whispers words played a part in her decision to pick a fight but she couldn't help but feel just a little bit flattered that Surge was doing this partly for her. This flattery was very much spoiled however by the knowledge that Tangle and Whisper were in the infirmary. As mad as she was she was still worried about them. That is until she reached the part of the footage where they revealed they've been practicing wisp powers without her and her heart became stone. Am I even a co-worker to them? Am I just goddamn background noise?! That was something we could have worked on together! She hadn't realized she had begun to shake in unmitigated rage. Every single act of kindness she had received from them was now under review. Was it all just lies? Lies to keep the literal wool over her eyes? Was she being played the entire time? The comforting hugs from Tangle. The words of quiet encouragement from Whisper. Was any of that true? Was any of that real? The clear as day guilt on Tangle's face now looked like a sickening desperate facade to keep up her appearance as the do no wrong happy-go-lucky twit. She saw Whisper's reaction for what it really was; a pathetic bitch fit from getting caught doing to someone what she wore oh so proudly as a crown of thorns.
