L'image est une vue en contre-plongée, en gros plan, d'un grand lustre ouvragé de l'hôtel Maritim à Stuttgart en Allemagne. Le lustre est en métal doré et se compose de multiples anneaux concentriques, chacun orné de nombreux petits globes en verre transparent contenant des ampoules d'un blanc éclatant. Sa structure est complexe, avec des supports radiaux et circulaires formant un motif géométrique élaboré. L'éclairage est l'élément dominant : les ampoules blanches diffusent une lumière vive et uniforme qui illumine la structure du lustre et se reflète sur ses surfaces métalliques. Le métal doré présente un éclat chaud et poli, plus lumineux par endroits sous l'effet de la lumière directe. Le fond sombre est un plafond texturé, orné de losanges clairs et foncés alternés. Ce motif est en grande partie masqué par le lustre et les ombres qu'il projette. La composition est symétrique : le centre du lustre est mis en valeur et rayonne vers les bords du cadre. La disposition circulaire des lumières et les anneaux concentriques créent une impression de profondeur et de mouvement visuel, attirant le regard vers l'intérieur. L'ensemble dégage une impression d'opulence, de design moderne et d'éclairage artificiel éclatant. Parmi les détails subtils, on remarque les légères imperfections des globes en verre, la diffusion de la lumière à l'intérieur et les reflets sur le métal doré poli. L'image ne présente ni personnes ni autres objets discernables.
