Continuing my fiber journey with flax! The most difficult fiber I've spun so far. I was so surprised I got usable yarn because it looked like straw when I was spinning it. Scouring makes such a difference!

I’ve finished spinning this years flax! The result is this 2-ply yarn with 28/2 thickness (lighter thread is a modern 28/2 for reference). It’s 500 meters (nearly 501 m) and weights 70 g.

My latest teabreak project at work. 4 ply linen yarn with a 2.75 hook and winging the pattern. I thought I had another ball of mustard, so the different colours one side is a happy mistake! Couldn't bear to frog it and had 5 colours to choose from.

Two skeins of Acadia on Harbor cotlin fingering. Harbor softens the color a *teensy* bit and gives it a touch of blend. This yarn handles very much like Chesapeake. I pulled these skeins for a summer tee project - I am thinking @toriknitsnyc's #brooklynraglanlite since the sleeve texture does such amazing things to variegateds!
Three skeins of Acadia on Wicomico linen blend fingering. Wicomico has that fresher, breezy linen feel and the different fiber strands add an amazing dimension in this color!! As soon as these skeins dried, I knew they needed their moment on the grid. They are headed out the door into someone's stash, so I don't know what they are destined to be, but I think it'll turn out gorgeous!
