Looking up to the Sanctuary ceiling of Fitzrovia Chapel. There are five single-light lancet windows and a ribbed gold semi-dome from which hangs an ornate sanctuary lamp. The walls are patterned marble with mosaic designs.

The Chapel Aumbry with a decorated door and a small 'crown' above it. Above that is a roundel depicting a pelican feeding its young. Below it, in an alcove, sit four candles.

My new #middlegrademystery features unique landmarks that children can visit, using the book’s ‘map of many places’. The #fitzroviachapel is one of my favourite #lininalspaces I was so lucky to be able to sit inside, writing it into the book, where the Chapel’s aumbry becomes a very special doorway!
