The royal court mage finds himself out in the nearby forest for a reagent but stumbles upon something, or rather someone, else. Chaland's thoughts: 'Hmmm? Singing? Such a soothing and gentle song... Wait, is that the Court's new Musician I spy? And with such rare and timid beasts beside her? I smell magic afoot, I bet my hat on it!'
Said Court Musician Talaani singing as if these skittish yet powerful beasts are her only audience, her song seeming to calm and soothe them as the two larger bird-like creatures rest with their eyes closed and heads bowed.
Chaland approaches the Singing lady, interrupting her performance and disturbing the peaceful moment. Chaland: "Ah brava, brava dear lady! Yours is a voice that which could turn even the foulest beasts calm. Not only an Alkonost find respite at your feet, but a Red Chocobo as well? You truly do have a voice that can enchant all who hear it. I must ask-"
Clouds of supposed dust and smoke sit where the beasts had laid, evidently not wishing to stay when another intrudes. Talaani looks peeved at being disturbed while Chaland seems to wonder if he overstepped. Talaani: "Aaaand just like that, you've spooked them. I had thought I would have no audience 'cept those of beasts to witness me practicing my art in the forest, but clearly I was mistaken. Pray, to what reason did you approach? You mentioned my voice..." Chaland: "Ah yes... Apologies, my lady. My curiosity got the better of me at hearing such a song that even I felt compelled to come rest at your feet. Tis unlike any magic I have seen or heard of, so I let compulsion drive me to seek mine answers. Would you elucidate me to this new magic that you possess? I can certainly make it worth your while."
