#LinuxMint replaced the Adwaita-symbolic-icons in JA with #XSI 1s. & since than I've noticed on my install of #LMDE7 the full-colour #ParpirusLightIcons I was using are a wee too inconsistent with the XSI 1s for me. So I've switched them to the #MintYBlueIcons. #Linux #icons ...

The latest #LMDE7 update brought #CinnamonDE 6.6.4 with a revamped #AppMenu that doesn't render correctly for folks like me that're using the #MojaveLightTheme. Solution for us is to install the #ClassicMenu #CinnamonApplet (cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view...). #Linux #LinuxNews

Been quite busy migrating to #linux #lmde7 these last two days, in part of a corrupted partition on a new ssd that I bought. I dislike it sm when such stupid matters get in the way of being able to sit with my laptop and do what I really like. Hope #debian #linuxmint fills up the expectations.

I'd installed b43-fwcutter_019-14_amd64.deb months ago on my mid 2009 13" #MacBookPro runing #LMDE7 to fetch my needed #Broadcom #WiFiDriver. It worked & I've been connecting it over #WiFi to our #BellAliantFibre via #TekSavvy #HomeInternet just fime. ... #Linux

Made a help post about my #GRUBMenu issue on the #LMDEForums. Got a #fix that'll render my GRUB menu in #ConsoleMode, still hoping for 1 that'll render it in #GUIMode. & if a simple fix can't be found for rendering it in GUI mode than I'm willing to call this solved. #LMDE7 #Linux #troubleshooting

The only thing I've left to fix in my install of #LMDE7 on my mid 2009 13" #MapcBookPro is the #GRUBMenu not loading during #booting. The next step for me is to make a help post on the #LMDE section of the #LinuxMintForum & see what advice fellow LMDE 7 users can give me. #Linux #troubleshooting

#Amazon, #Zoom, other essentials set up in #LMDE7. #UEFI has the correct time, but each OS has the wrong time when I restart into it. Will figure out that great mystery some other time... #Linux

Okay... FINALLY.
Windows 11 is live on the first Nvme, #LMDE7 on the second. Got the #UEFI to boot to #grub, so now the two OS's will play nicely. Over the next few weeks, I'll be putting #Win11 in a VM, as soon as I figure out which distro hates it the most (Windows not virtual machines).

They didn't have Human eyes proof it , or test it in a lab - they just pushed this BS to prod - which (un)ironically(?) is a very human thing to do these days.
Not exaggerating about having to rebuild my system from the CMOS up though. Was waiting for #LMDE7 to drop but this crap arrived first. 🤬

In my install of #LMDE7 on my mid 2009 13" #MacBookPro the #GRUBMenu isn't loading during #booting, #UpdateManager & #Telegram ain't appearing on the #panel & they should, & the icon for #Floorp (Firefox based) browser after last update is incorrectly showing as Firefox's on the plank. #LMDE #Linux

@floorp-browser.bsky.social For your info I just upgraded the #Flatpak version of #Floorp that's on my laptop to the latest version which is 12.3.1. I'm running #LMDE7 on a mid 2009 #MacBookPro. & since the upgrade the Floorp icon in my plank is reverting to a Firefox icon.

Before upgrading to #LMDE7 I used the #LinuxMint #Tool called #BackupTool to create a #FileBackup of the files in my home directory. I've just discovered it didn't backup my Documents & Music folders as it was supposed to. I'm feeling really #PissedOff!!! #BackupFail #LMDE #Linux ...

Successfully completed a #CleanInstall of #LMDE7 on my mid 2009 13" #MacBookPro followed by, thankĺs to a thorough DuckDuckGo search, installation of the missing #WiFiDriver. All that's left is to finish installing a few additional apps & my files, & configure everything to my liking. #LMDE #Linux

... All I can do now is use my mom's mid 2011 13" #MacBookPro to make an #LMDE7 #BootableUSB on a #USBStick of mine, & than use the bootable USB stick to overweight my system with a #CleanInstall of #LMDE7. Things'll go good this time. They'll go good this time. #LMDE #Linux

98% sure the #InPlaceUpgrade command for #LMDE7 I ran in the terminal of the install of #LMDE6 on my mid 2009 13" #MacBookPro only whent 90% ok. There's evidence some files that should of been erased may not've been, & #GRUB may not've been configured qite right or I got a GRUB bug. #LMDE #Linux ...
