If you’re a birder disappointed by the lockdown extension, grab a copy of @BirdwatchExtra and check out @Godalming_birds account of his inland local patching for a dash of inspiration. #lockdownlisting

Just dropped car in to get a new tyre fitted and wandered over to pit top rather than sit about. Watching a Peregrine batter feral pigeons at the grain store to north then this monster drops in 40m away. #lockdownlisting

This Meadow Pipit, one of a handful in frozen, flooded fields 8km inland brought up 80 species within 5km of home in 2021. Gets harder from here, Snipe, Kingfisher, Little Egret, Brambling, Crossbill and Released Gaudy Partridge all need some attention. #lockdownlisting

Looking like it’s time to dust off and bring up to date my #lockdownlisting finished on 120 after the last one, I guess there must be some stuff that I added during the last 5 months, and possibly some new additions to come. #alwayslookonthrbrightside etc, etc

#lockdownlisting MEGA!
A totally unexpected Dipper at Greenbank Park Liverpool, first in the City for over 20 years! Caused a local social distancing twitch. No idea where it has come; feeding voraciously reminiscent of a newly arrived migrant

Garden #lockdownlisting now largely complete with the appearance of House Martins this afternoon, putting me on 52 species which ain’t too bad for urban Newark - and #nocmig adds another 12. Anything else is going to be a bonus... @DJRBirder

Total Black Kite free zone around here. (Map from @RareBirdAlertUK ) Looks like everyone else is getting them on their #lockdownlisting Garden list. Though am I the only one who finds it a bit suspicious that no one has picked even just one up on #nocmig
Just saying 🤔

Two of the most promising parts of my lockdown patch delivering tonight, with a Common Sand on the borrow pit and 3 Wheatears in the paddocks, including a splendid male (Wheatears 3 to 5 of the spring here). A Whinchat soon, I’m sure...🤞#lockdownlisting

Swifts overhead whilst barbecuing in Newark, a few days off the pace but a fine way to (finally!) bring up number 50 for the garden #lockdownlisting total.
