I have LQTS Type 1... My Dad did (likely what killed his Dad) my brother has it, all 4 of my boys inherited it... thankfully ours is pretty controllable with knowledge, medication and awareness to make lifestyle changes or activity decisions.

An Implantable Loop recorder, a cardiac monitoring device used to detect heart problems. This is about the size of an old USB stick.

I found this last weekend when tidying. It’s my first #ILR implanted loop recorder, something which failed to detect my #LongQT

I have a smaller one now. It’s still there, in my chest, but it’s dead. It also failed to diagnose me, but a stress test off meds did!

That used to be in me!

I have read where people have mentioned a condition (genetic?) called LongQT.... Long QT syndrome (LQTS) is a heart rhythm disorder characterized by a prolonged QT interval on an electrocardiogram, which can lead to fast, chaotic...

Twice I've come across mentions of Long QT and not had a clue. #Perplexity.AI helped.

I’m lucky. Mine is kept in check with meds. Today though, My heart is very unhappy. Got shakes, PVCs and weird palpitations.
