It might be frowned upon but I do use sentence fragments. I believe writing is an evolving style where breaking conventions can change the reader's experience. It's hit or miss but worthwhile!

I don't really have a hot take or anything, but I will say that whenever I'm brainstorming, I don't say no to any idea.

I'll think from the cuff and let my mind run as far as it wants to go. Sometimes, the unexpected thought comes back as a plot hole filler.
