Peak Lane, Fareham, Hampshire.

The road was straightened in the late 60s / early 70s to remove a dog’s leg & give more direct access to Stubbington village.
The original route is still visible in 3 sections, intersected by the new route of Peak Lane & the new Daedalus Way.

A narrow footpath leads from a grassy green mead between flowering thorn trees and bushes. Patches of daisies cluster like fallen stars where the path narrows and follow it to disappear into greenery.

A Surprise Found at the King County Archives This week we visited the King County Archives (KCA) on the edge of downtown Seattle. My partner in crime, Judi, had been chatting with them about diagrams, documents and photos of the Lost Drummer …

Maps!! Love them and couple months ago we went to the King County Archives to view original Road Establishment Maps of the county.

Here is an article I wrote about this old map adventure! #history #Lostroads #Roadestablishmentmaps #historicmaps #roadmaps #maps
