So I'm working myself up to actual freeform crochet with baby steps - trying things out with a project that utilizes some freeform techniques. The pattern, #loveyourselfmandala, is from Louisa Sheward (available for purchase on Ravelry); the three colors used are all size #1 Rainbow 8/4 100% cotton yarn from Hobbii. Turned out bigger than I thought it would, being about 7.5" across at its widest point.
