Part view of a dew laden spiders web - so heavy with dew that very little if any of the spider silk is visible instead it is all covered in dew drops of varying size. The bottom of each drop is silver where it is reflecting the overhead sky while the tops are dark - black in places reflecting the surrounding vegetation oand ground while the edges of each drop are clearly definded against the dark featureless background.
Overnight mist resulted in numerous dew laden spiders webs on our Monkey Puzzle tree.

It is very early for Hydrangea flowers to have turned into skeletons revealing the network of arteries and veins that once supported the skin that provided us with the flowers. As such I think this may be one from last year that has somehow remained hidden only to be exposed by the recent strong winds. I found this flower skeleton stuck to the leaves of an Acer in our garden, This Hydrangea flower skeleton looks a little like a three leaved clover in shape and it displays the network of arteries and vens that were once hidden within the flower. There are some dark Acer leaves visible behind and around the skeleton.

A Migrant Hawker Dragonfly resting momentarily on an old brown reed against a background of green, brown and yellowing reeds. The Dragonfly is viewed side on and has a blue lower face and yellow and black upper face backed by very large eyes which predominantly blue and black with some brown and grey. The Thorax is a mix of a greeny yellow with brown and black, the legs emerge brown from the thorax and turn black before the first joint. The wings are mainly black with a browm wing spot towards the outer top edge of the wing. The abdomen starts with a mix of yellow, blue and black colours and quickly changes to ten blue, black and brown segments eas it narrows towards the tail ending with a final black segment.
