I moved my phalaenopsis orchid plant near a window in the living room next to our entrance. It's under a heat vent so I think it would be ok.

So I found myself in the sun
oh yeah..

My orchids are still blooming and there 12 flowers in this bunch. I moved it to a less sunny spot and getting only afternoon sun. So far it seems ok.
