"Walking The Dog After The Storm"

A storm came over a bike path in Cathy Fromme Prairie Natural Area. Captured the storm moving out #MammatusClouds #ThunderStorm #cowx #FortCollins #Trail #Photography

Dark, dramatic mammatus clouds hang low in a grey stormy sky, their rounded, pouch-like formations creating an eerie texture. Bare tree branches stretch across the top edge of the frame, silhouetted against the clouds. The image has a moody, monochrome feel with soft gradients of grey and strong atmospheric tension.

After the heavy shower passed yesterday at RSPB Ham Wall we were left we these amazing clouds rolling over.

The inclusion of the branches just creeping into frame was deliberate.

After a severe thunderstorm over my area in Arkansas, by sunset the sky was filled with spectacular mammatus clouds which sometimes form before or after severe weather. Grandkids call them bubble clouds.

The clouds were awesome on my hike today! The first image is the most pronounced image of the mammatus clouds, then they started to stretch out. Rain rolled over at one point.
