The Baba Yaga's hut is, as the name implies, a house where Baba Yaga lives. She's a very popular Eastern European folk tale character, mostly known for her repulsive looks and evil demeanor of capturing and eating childern who got lost in the woods. It's very likely that originally she was a good folk character, taking care of the forest animals and helping children with initiation rites to the adulthood. It's probably early Christianity that demonized her, much like with other Slavic pagan gods and spirits. Would teaming up with a child, instead of Mashita, be a better choice for Yashiki to deal with her? I'm not too sure.
