"The Stunning Taxman", a fake card I made. It's a Level 5 Dark Fiend with 1000 Attack and 2500 Defense. The image is just General Raiho of the Ice Barrier, but without his background. It's effect says the following.

(Quick Effect): Your can discard this card; this turn, each time your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s), they must pay LP equal to that monster's Level times 100 or their Rank/Link Rating times 200 (max. half of their current LP), otherwise their Special Summon is negated.

It has the same intent as Maxx C (to slow down the opponent for Special Summoning too often), but goes about it in a different, weaker way (instead of you drawing one per special summon, they must pay LP per special summon). It also punishes XYZ Monsters and Link monsters proportionally more over others, as they must pay 200 per unit instead of 100.

Hey #YuGiOh players, rate my #CustomCard. I wanted to Power-Check #MaxxC, so I made a nerfed version of the card with some slight inspiration from General Raiho. Do y'all think this would see competitive play, or is the fact that it's not card-draw makes it unplayable? What changes would you make?

I wonder why #Konami keeps beating #Pendulum monsters to death with hammers considering it's one of the few things that fairly counters #MaxxC. Like, everybody else has to play under it or give their opponent stupid amounts of advantage, meanwhile if you Pend summon, your opponent only draws 1.

I hate how #MaxxC and #Mulcharmy #Fuwalos are designed. In a vacuum, they should be perfectly balanced floodgates. Instead of completely shutting down your opponent, they choose to keep playing or stop altogether based on how much advantage you get.

The problem? They're not fit for #YuGiOh. (1/2)
