Wei Wuxian was too close and getting closer, his eyes dilated at the sight. He felt trapped. He should just push him away. Lan Wangji closed his eyes, fists clenched. Soft lips brushed the shell of his ear, “I hope to see you again soon,” he whispered.

He pushes his smile wider across his face. It’s an effort at first, but teasing Jiang Cheng is always fun, and gets easier the more he does it. ‘I’m an old married man!’ he protests. ‘I can’t spend all my energy chasing after other men, Jiang Cheng! What would people think?’ He is rewarded by Jiang Cheng sputtering, Jin Ling stuffing his hands into his mouth to keep from laughing, and the slightest tilt upward of Lan Zhan’s lovely mouth. ‘Idiot,’ Jiang Cheng grumbles. But it’s gentler than before, like something’s softened inside him, and Wei Wuxian’s heart swells in spite of himself. ‘I love you too,’ he says brightly. He can say it if he doesn’t sound like he means it. Jiang Cheng groans and aims a kick at him, but misses. ‘I should break your legs,’ he grumbles, and Wei Wuxian knows he’s been understood.
I have been away from bsky for a while because of houseguests, but gonna breeze in with a #wipwednesday for my #mdzsbb fic anyway. YMJ bros reconciliation soppiness with a small side of wangxian.
“Sorry gege,” Wei Wuxian chuckled softly. He sounded breathless, “Guess I’m not as graceful as I thought.” Their faces were too close together once again. Lan Wangji moved his head back just a bit. “Get. Off.” Lan Wangji said through gritted teeth. “Aw, Lan-er-gege, you don’t like me like this?” Wei Wuxian knew what he was suggesting. He was practically stradling Lan Wangji with how he fell. He was being too shameless. Lan Wangji’s eyes widened a fraction. The part of the boat he was holding creaked with the strength of his grip.

"What do you think, Hanguang-jun?" he asks once they face each other, "Don't I look handsome?" Maomao had added little flowers to his hair. With a sly grin, he looked expectantly at Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji looked over to Maomao who was also waiting for an answer. It was a trap. He sighed, "Mn." Ze Tian's grin looked like a predator that had caught its prey. "Really? Truly?"
