Lan Wangji moved his head back just a bit. “Get. Off.” Lan Wangji said through gritted teeth. “Aw, Lan-er-gege, you don’t like me like this?” Wei Wuxian knew what he was suggesting. He was practically stradling Lan Wangji with how he fell. He was being too shameless. Lan Wangji’s eyes widened a fraction. The part of the boat he was holding creaked with the strength of his grip.

Wei Wuxian looked up as he lay back to front with Lan Wangji, their faces centimeters apart, Wei Wuxian's long damp hair wet the front of Lan Wangji's clothes. Lan Wangji inhales sharply at their proximity, the scent of the water and his skin filling his lungs with the action. His arms involuntarily tighten, wrapped around Wei Wuxian's chest to support him.
