A manuscript from the 1500s, with mistletoe and olive drawn and coloured delicately, plus a small plant with pink flowers, a cheerful bird, a fly, and a snail who looks frankly lost.
Mistletoe, with olive and an adorable snail, from the 'Tudor pattern book' produced in England sometime between 1520-30. Held in the Bodleian Library, MS Ashmole 1504.
