I used the LIDAR on my iPhone to try to scan the structure. Reasonably successful for a 1st go!

The Lagatjar Alignements in Camaret, Brittany, originally consisted of 600 stones in 3 lines, of which 65 stones remain. Once a large ceremonial complex, it was constructed along
astronomical lines, both lunar and solar. Mine, July 2024

7 tall, thin grey stones run from top left of the photo to bottom right in a not altogether straight line, across parched brown grass. The sky above, a melange of blues, greys and whites which help highlight both the green lichen and white quartz on some of the stones.

The ancient #menhirs tend to be much larger than the new ones. When asked about this, the locals explained that the stones grow with age. So naturally the oldest ones are the biggest because they've had so long to grow.
