During my horizontal sojourn at the allotment yesterday, listening to the birds singing and being mesmerized by sycamore seeds 🙂, I thought of having a go with the Merlin app. My first time doing so, and I was very impressed! (It makes my little app look very amateurish though! 😂) #merlinapp #birds
Starlings are setting up nests in the well pump house and the roof. Sparrows and blue tits are loudly paring up. Magpies are rattling and cackling.

I heard the "red tailed hawk" outside the back door and rushed out to record it with my Merlin app. What should be sitting there on the deck imitating a hawk was a damn blue jay. Little fucker had me fooled all summer. #Birds #MerlinApp
