I got an unexpected free day today. So I collected my new glasses and I’m settling into the next book on the stack by my reading chair. This one has been high up for awhile so I’m delighted to get into it. Also practising with my first pair of vari-focals #middleAgeLife #fiction

In @gbkburgers yesterday evening (an establishment I'll never set foot in again after the inordinate wait for food – which turned up lukewarm), I realised just how much I now need my glasses. Had to use my phone's camera to read the menu.
