Painted during Sheets’ travels as an arts ambassador, the work reflects both his curiosity for the world and his gift for capturing human emotion.
Perfect for Halloween, don’t you think? 👻🕯️

On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was… 🎀✨ This portrait by Millard Sheets says it all—timeless style, quiet confidence, and a perfect nod to #MeanGirlsDay. 💕

A photo of the Millard Sheets' mosaic mural at the Garrison Theater at Scripps College. The mural depicts characters from three of Shakespeare's plays -- Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Juliet, and King Lear. I took this photo in 2023.
Today is #ShakespeareDay as the Bard died on April 23, 1616. It's assumed he was born April 23 (as he was baptized April 26, 1564) but his precise b'day is unknown.
For the Garrison Theater at Scripps College, #MillardSheets created this mosaic mural featuring characters from Shakespeare's plays.
So sorry to hear about the passing of artist Tony Sheets, the son of well-known artist #MillardSheets. Have long been a fan of Tony Sheets' work in #DTLA, which is why I photographed his bas-relief mural "Evolution of Los Angeles" during the Zoot Suit Memorial Cruise last June.
