After last night's frustration with the SD40-2 consist I sat down today and took my time. The issue with the lights on 8256 was easy - it had bulbs despite being DCC ready. LEDs swapped from the RI donor loco. #hoscale #modelrailway #modeltrains #187scale #bsmrguk #modelrailroad #railwaymodelling

Did test it and it works fine, those wheels open my eyes on how to make wheels and perhaps will just re do the ones on the 2-4-0, i did try on other engine and went out fine.

A tubby model railroader shows how long of hunched reach it is to get to the back corner of his double deck layout. Dumbarse shouldn't have designed it to wide and so close to the upper deck.
More destruction on the #modelrailroad layout. I'll be running #modeltrains this year, I hope. But I have to drop to only one level. Two was too much bending, stooping and reaching to be healthy. I ain't getting younger.

Im also making bogies for my express coaches, basically i glue 2 small pieces of cardboard and piece then with a screw, that might help then on tight curves although i doubt, at least i wanna try.

Finally i put smilinguido axels back and a plastic Chimney, now hes lighter than before wich is not a problem tbh, i also begun using this mini class 42 warship that i made on the wind up track and it kinda fits, thinking if i work him on lore or not.

Replacement Walthers wheelsets
Replacement wheelsets fitted into the trucks.
