Meigs Point, Hammonasset Beach State Park. The Point is a mile-long recessional moraine along the Connecticut coast. About 18,000 years ago, the retreating Wisconsinan Ice Sheet paused here for some hundreds of years, depositing the long line of glacial boulders and erratics you see here. The moraine extends across Clinton Harbor and re-emerges on the eastern shore of the harbor.
It doesn't get much better than Meigs Point on a gorgeous autumn day. Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison, CT, USA.
