Large moth on the side of my shed.

Large moth on the side of my shed.

I am a birder. I do not know my moths. Anyone know what this guy is? Wingspan is about 2.5 - 3 inches at the widest point. His coloration seemed more of a sandy color than what my phone captured.

Anyone know what this is? 5-6cm long, southern England. One of the biggest moths I've seen.

Same verse, same as the first, just another angle showcasing it's very lithe build compared to other hummingbird moths of the region

Good morning #Teammoth.
This chap was in the trap this morning (in Anglesey). I'm a bit baffled. Could it be Butterbur Moth, Hydraecia petasites?
