Bare-limbed beech and hawthorn grown as a tall hedge are silhouetted against a bright blue winter sky with a bright sun shining The open fields are visible beyond the hedge and a close observer will be able to see the green hummock of the Lincolnshire Wolds, about three miles away across the Humber Estuary.
The garden's a tip, the windows need cleaning, I can't get out of the back door because all the cardboard boxes from Xmas and Young'un's 18th need taking to the tip, and it's probably going to pee down again tomorrow....

Sunshine today; a southerly wind has blown away the weekend's nasty roke.
Saw a kestrel and a sparrowhawk along the hedgerow (both male); the kestrel tilted over the roof of the car and skimmed into the open field, sparrowhawk glared from the top of a hawthorn #my400

Field with sheep, with the wall curving around the copse of deciduous trees. A couple of trees on the horizon, with blue sky above and just a couple of thin clouds.
Backlit winter trees beside the path,leading to the gate to another sheep field. Mainly blue skies again.
The view across the estate back to the village. A copse surrounds the duck pond,and another which shelters pheasant. A line of old oaks follows an old way on the left their shadows long across the field. The hills of the trough beyond are topped with light cloud, beneath more blue sky.
