In the last couple of weeks I finished a knitted top (my first knitted piece) and a crocheted cap
Bit too warm to wear the cap but the top is sleeveless so it's been quite useful
Nothing like being job-free to give one space to get some yarn wrangled! 🧶

#mycreativeweek I have been playing with beads to produce some brooches. It’s an idea I saw on Pinterest. I start by covering curtain rings and then sew beads on to felt, attach the ring to the felt and add a brooch pin.

#mycreativeweek No I haven’t made all these quilts in a week but they have come out of the cupboard and will be going to the Linus project tomorrow. Pre Covid I ran a U3A quilt group and made a quilt every month for our “show and tell”. Some neighbours have asked me to teach them so I will make more

#mycreativeweek On Saturday I went to a workshop at Farnham Maltings. It was run by the wonderful Imogen Melissa (Imogenmelissa.com) who provided everything we would need in a kit and showed us how to use sequins and beads creatively.

Underpainting using burnt umber and white with Turps of a semi abstract landscape of Dartmoor. The intention is to map dark and light.
Good evening everyone! This #MyCreativeWeek I did a tonal underpainting from a sketch I did on Dartmoor. This is a new technique for me so I'll see if I find it helpful as I develop the painting. Oil on board. And my house stinks of Turps...

I've been #knitting my top - finished the front, started the back. Taking a rest from the sleeves, more about that another day!

I went to a seaweed pressing workshop - the pictures will be sent in a few weeks. Last Saturday I did a "from figurative to abstraction workshop" using acrylics (I don't acrylics). This was the final result - I might develop it up. A3. #mycreativeweek

#mycreativeweek Something different. I volunteer at RHS Wisley every Sunday morning and our uniform is a lovely shade of purple. Of course I have to accessorise it and have made a brooch and this week made purple earrings. Shame I can’t wear them all at once!
