A brand new Tyne and Wear Metro train approaches and underground station

#MyNewMetro excitement. This is the first time I've ever been on a Metro train that's younger than me. And I'm not that young these days...
First new metro experience #mynewmetro Verdict:
Clean and new, but not enough space, seats or rails to hold. So many people standing up. It’s hard to believe how long we’ve waited, slightly underwhelmed 😬 @my-metro.bsky.social

Highlight of my day was a first trip on #MyNewMetro. A bit hypnotised by the loooong single carriage. Liked the quieter journey and the fabric design. Didn’t like the stuffy air (more ventilation please) and sitting along the sides. Miss being able to see out the front.

Massive difference with improved ride quality and lower noise level as well.
